Pain Control

Pain Management

There are two different types of pain – acute and chronic. Acute pain is usually as a result of an accident or temporary illness. Chronic and enduring pain may be as a result of a long term medical condition. However there may not be any obvious cause for your pain.

A detailed assessment will be completed ascertaining an individuals presentation and history of their pain. Hypnotherapy can help in reducing stress and change thought patterns related to pain. Hypnosis aims to manage the pain and reduce any fears or associated anxieties. It helps to reduce stress and relax the nervous system to help it become less reactive to pain, managing your perception of pain and improving your quality of life.

Before any hypnotherapy is offered, advice will be sought from your GP to assess your suitability for this treatment.
